About
This bundled program combines three field-focused courses into a single, practical curriculum for patrol officers and proactive units: Drug Identification, Vehicle Search Law & Techniques, and Pretext Stops & Two-Step Interdiction. Participants will master identification of common street drugs and impairment cues, learn the constitutional and statutory law governing vehicle searches, observe hands-on vehicle search techniques, and analyze federal pretext case law alongside the operational “two-step” interdiction method. The bundle emphasizes real-world demonstrations and a landmark federal case study to teach lawful, defensible tactics and courtroom-ready documentation. By the end of the program officers will be prepared to detect narcotics and impairment in the field, conduct and document lawful vehicle searches, and execute defensible pretext/interdiction stops that withstand legal scrutiny.
